On June 12, Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas was proud to be the beneficiary of Motiva Enterprises’ 34th annual Golden Golf Scramble, held at Bayou Din Golf Course in LaBelle, Texas. This long‑running fundraising event continues to serve as a cornerstone of financial support for Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas, raising $261,000 to advance workforce readiness, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship education for local students. That amount supports 10,400 students through our programs.
For 34 years, the Golden Golf Scramble has reflected Motiva’s commitment to investing in the next generation. Through our partnership with Junior Achievement, we help students build skills that prepare them for meaningful careers and long term success.

This year’s tournament was supported by 51 corporate sponsors, 72 registered teams, and over 50 volunteers whose time and generosity helped make the event possible. “Motiva’s continued support allows us to reach more students and expand the impact of our programs across the Golden Triangle,” said Patricia Woolridge, Director of Junior Achievement of the Golden Triangle. “Funds raised through events like the Golden Golf Scramble, Engineering Job Shadow, and other Motiva‑supported initiatives help us serve more than 10,400 students throughout our nine‑county region.”
Congratulations to the tournament’s AM winners – 5th Place/E3 Environmental,10th Place/TISS, 15th Place/Herc Rentals; Longest Drive/Josh Magnuson; Closest to the Pin/ Cody Hollier. PM winners—5th Place/Richard, 10th Place/Newtron, and 15th Place/BOMAC; Longest Drive/ B. Evans; Closest to the Pin/Kyle Swearingin. Additionally, there were 14 corn-hole teams and HASC was the champion.
Lastly, 42 teams participated in an interactive drone drop activity hosted by Motiva employee Bob Manning. The experience featured a licensed drone operator releasing golf balls over a designated area, with participants aiming to land closest to a target. The activity raised more than $2,000, with all 42 teams purchasing the opportunity to take part.
