Innovation and engineering came together at Lamar University’s Texas Academy Industry Day, where Motiva hosted the “Tower Takedown Challenge” for nearly 35 local students. This hands-on activity encouraged students to express their creativity by constructing towers from various materials, which they then tested using a takedown device they also built.

This comprehensive activity fostered creativity, design thinking, and teamwork, while introducing real-world engineering concepts such as structural integrity, force, and problem-solving.
